The short clip we were shown in class “No One Bothered” for a minute did give me a second glance on what I think about homeless people. I never thought that maybe they have no choice, but to be homeless living on the street because of an illness or disease they might be suffering from like the two people explained in this clip. I honestly can say though I have never felt bad when I seen some homeless person begging for money either from myself or someone else. Besides when its really cold in the winter, then maybe I could feel a bit of there suffering even though there are shelters provided for times like that. When a situation does come around where I’m asked for money, I say to myself, “Why don’t they seriously go get a job like a normal person (or at least try) and earn their own money!” They could go to a thrift shop to buy some decent clothes with the free money they earned instead of spending it on drugs or alcohol.
I do though understand the homeless people in this clip and where their coming from not having a way of getting help by taking medicine they need to control their disease. In a situation like that, it could effect them getting hired. I also despite the rude and ignorant people they explained that cant leave an innocent human being alone. Everyone, rich or poor, has feelings and being urinated or spat on is very disrespectful. Besides those kind of homeless people, there are some that cant control there addiction to either alcohol or drugs that beg for money to supply there filthy need. No one should be reliable to give up their own money they work for to supply a random person’s addiction. Those kind of homeless people are a disappointment to our society and should help themselves instead of us helping them. In Chicago near Cicero Ave and I55 ramp, there are stories I have heard that there’s needles laying around all over under the bridge where they sleep and end up begging for money on the side of the road. Very disgusting, especially sleeping in your own filth. The reason why I find no respect for them is because of the story my mom once told me about her situation with a homeless guy. She was asked for a few dollars supposedly because he was hungry. She offered him her own lunch she had packed for work. He did end up taking it with a smile on his face but then threw it on the ground and stomped all over it. He even had the courage to say thank you. I feel no remorse for them especially not knowing why they are homeless in the first place, but like i said I did get some understanding from this clip to why some are homeless and its because of an illness or disease. No one knows which ones they really are though.

I definitely never got put in a situation I’m currently in now where i have to write about three long, thoughtful questions. It, for a second, actually gives me power on my perspective on how I think about life. I haven’t always done every correct because really, no one is perfect nor does anyone not make mistakes.Nut, I have learned from my mistakes and grow as a person and developed a lot in the past few years. Emotions can really get the best of someone like me. Being angry, sad or miserable at either myself or others was something I’ve been working on for the past year. To me, its not worth all the stress it caused me to have thinking about others who have brought me down. So ask me; what do I live for? I live for my happiness and well being of how i pursue to live a healthy enjoyable life. I look at all the bright things in like with possibilities along with new opportunities. This doesn’t only effect my attitude towards how i carry myself, but also towards others around me. For example, my happiness reflects on my daughter Oliwia. My happiness brings her happiness and joy. I moved on and learned from my mistakes to make anyone else but myself and my family happy.
I can proudly say from a mother to a child that i would die for my one and only daughter, Oliwia. She is the reason why all the good things I’ve dreamed came true. My motivation and courage wouldn’t be so great without her. She is the reason why I’m here going to school and working as a pharmacy technician. I pushed and kept pushing myself to go further in life to be one day on my own feet to support myself and family. I will always want to give her what she deserves which is anything. No, its not easy at all being a mother, going to school full time and working full time, but its really important to me to be successful and do everything possible for my little girl.
Something that i would really kill for is something i actually wouldn’t do. Why takes someones precious life away that God himself gave them to live to the fullest? I rarely ever watch the news, but when I do, it makes me sick to my stomach that reminds me why I don’t watch things that reminds all of us what a sad world we live in. Everyone was born with a heart and I can admit, some didn’t deserve it. Taking a life isn’t just one problem. It creates much more from hurting their loved ones to putting yourself in jail for life. Then they can really ask themselves what they really killed for. Its not up to any human being to decide when someone should end their life nor should they think that anyone deserves to die for whatever reason. Every murderer should question themselves by asking what if it was my sister who died? Or brother or mom, dad whoever important to them and who would himself feel in a situation he put innocent people in? God for a reason created the 6th commandment saying, “Thou shall not kill” and repeated in the bible, “You shall not kill” (Exodus 20:13 RSV). I think it could be the worst sin for a person to ever make.

I believe ecological literacy means human communities coming together all around the world to build and help create plans that could make life on earth cleaner and more of a Eco-friendly environment for all living things to live on this plant. It only takes one person to make a difference because they can effect other people and carry on a chain by teaching why you should for example recycling paper, plastic, glass and etc. By recycling a ton of paper (which is very easy for only a small community to collect) it could save 17 trees. I think that trees are like the planet lungs and help reduce pollution in the air that I breathe in everyday. I also adore any kind of animal and would hate to see anymore become in danger because of what our world is capable of. Nature can NOT fix itself! I am ecologically literate because I am a part of this community by recycling everything that i believe that could be recycled. I also really enjoy gardening around spring time and planting more plants for not only the beauty, but also for our environment.

To start off I love your ideas and the support you used for what you would kill for. I share the same beliefs as you but even if I didn’t I think any reader should agree with me. My favorite part is how you state one of the ten commandments and then give and example of a verse from the bible. As far as What you would live for and die for maybe you can add more support and examples to those paragraphs. Also you state that these three questions are long yet your paper is short. If you continue with your examples and go into more details it will add length to your paper. Also you should eliminate the the first sentence completely because when you are writing a paper you shouldn’t actually be writing that you have to write it for a class or whatever. With that first sentence I, as the reader, actually lost interest in your paper before giving it the chance to read it. Lastly, to go along with the length you need to add an introduction paraghaph and a conclusion or summary paragraph to really complete the paper. Other then that your body paragraphs are at a really good start.

I really enjoyed reading your essay, It was easy for me to learn your outlook on life, I liked to see that you have learned to think more optimistically, or looking at life through a positive way. For wahtever reason it is, most things are supprisingly easy to realate toothers. You may not notice it at first but, as time goes on I have noticed that in order to think optimistically you need to set goals for bettering yourself it is really good to see a mom happy to say that she is bettering herself for her child. I know that your daughter will look up to you and make the same positive choice that you have. I would like to as however, that it would help to lengthen your paper by adding more detail to your main points and add more examples to your details. Overall I enjoyed reading your essay, it kept me interested knowing that in order to really be happy with life everyone needs to have overcome an obsticle.

I read your essay and I agree with Kristina. I felt you have to be more detailed in the areas of what you would live for and die for. I loved your concept. I understood where you were going with this, but I needed more detail. Are you living for others happiness or yourself and your daughters? I was a little lost by that. I get this sense that you were hurt a lot and you have striven and you are still striving for the best for you and your daughter. I admire that in you. You are doing a great job in staying in school and taking care of your daughter. Quoting the bible also brought me to a happy place. “Though shall not kill” (Exodus 20:13 RSV) really showed me you have your head in the right place.
Never give up! Not at home and not in school. This thesis is good, but with persistence and help you will be awesome at what you write. Thank you for letting me read this.
